From: Germany

Style: Classical Guitar Quartet

Quartet Rheinsaiten was begun in 2013, and comprises four young up-and-coming German guitarists: Miguel Mandelli, Luke Pan, Niklas Halm and Daniel März. The name of the group originated due to the fact that, at the time, the founding members lived on different sides of the River Rhein in the Cologne/Düsseldorf area of Germany.

All the group's members studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne, under Prof. Hubert Käppel and Prof. Hans-Werner Huppert, and have attended masterclasses with Pepe Romero, David Russell, Aniello Desiderio, Göran Söllscher, ScottTennant (Los Angeles Guitar Quartet), and are national and international prize winners.

Despite their young age, members of the Rheinsaiten Quartet have already given numerous concert performances in Germany and abroad, taught young chamber-music ensembles in masterclasses, and taken part as jury members in competitions.

They currently teach across the Rheinland in Bad Honnef State Musikschule, Königswinter, Rheinische Musikschule, and Musikschule Pro Musica Jüchen.
