The popular young German guitarist Jule Malischke is both an international concert artist and a lecturer in guitar at the Dresden “Carl Maria von Weber” University.

 

One of the most sought-after soloists on the European acoustic scene, her repertoire covers an impressively broad musical spectrum – from self-penned heartfelt songs, very original song-cover arrangements, and diverse virtuoso styles on the classical guitar through to modern fingerstyle arrangements. There are few musicians who can boast such mastery of all these related but very different genres.

Jule is known for her vibrant personality, her wonderful voice and the virtuosity of her guitar playing, and has captivated audiences across Europe in her appearances at many of the most important festivals. She has played support for numerous international acts including Uriah Heep, Barclay James Harvest and Christina Stuermer, as well as appearing regularly on radio and television.

This concert marks her first appearance in Cornwall – and we hope, the first of many!
