Name: David Jaggs
Style: Classical Guitar
After graduating with distinction from the Guildhall School of Music, David Jaggs was privileged to become a private student of Manuel Barrueco at his home in New Jersey, USA.
In addition to performing many classical recitals and touring as a soloist with the Scottish Ensemble, he broadened his career by playing in show bands and orchestras for musicals, developing an interest in arranging popular repertoire for the classical guitar – which led to an extremely successful series of album releases.
David also has his own label, “Timespan Recordings”, featuring artists including Antigoni Goni, Robert Brightmore, baroque lutenist David Miller, and Cristina Galietto. Working with acclaimed British guitarist John Mills, David produced his DVD Evolucion, going on to work as a sound engineer, editor and producer on Mills' acclaimed double album, “Segovia, the Ramirez Years”.
David currently performs and teaches across Europe at major conservatoires and summer festivals. His popular YouTube channel, DPJFILMS, features many performances of his arrangements as well as standard classical repertoire, and he also works as an arranger for the American publishing company, Hal Leonard.
