HELLYS FESTIVAL GUITAR COMPETITION

Why not enter the Hellys 2022 Guitar Competition? Use the CONTACT form to register. All you need to do is to perform a maximum of three pieces of music (no longer than five minutes each) and you could be the proud owner of the guitar pictured below. The rules are simple: your music must include a guitar, and the judges' decisions are final. You must be the holder of either a full festival pass or an afternoon ticket for the day/s when you will appear in the competition.

Yes, the prize for the winner of this year's Hellys Guitar Competition is what is believed to be the only copy worldwide of a beautiful instrument originally created in the mid 18th century by one of the finest luthiers ever, Giovanni Battista Guadagnini (1711-1786). The original recently sold for over $1 million... and while this one isn't worth quite the same in monetary terms, one international concert artist described the copy as "an improvement on Guadagnini"!

We would like to thank Kif Guitars for sponsoring the competition. One of the most inspirational luthiers around, he has very kindly gifted this instrument to Hellys International Guitar Festival.
